5th Bi-Annual Junk Market
May 10th, 2014 - 8am to 5pm
Red River Valley Fairgrounds - Hartl Ag Building
We are so very excited to have you joining us for Junk Market. This truly has been a labor of love for me,
Tate and the entire Eco Chic team. We are dedicated to creating an event that helps you sell TONS of
merchandise and allows customers from all over the tri-state area to enjoy the hunt for that perfect piece
of furniture or one of a kind décor.
Here is the information you will need to make the event run smoothly.
Location: Red River Valley Fairgrounds - 1805 W. Main Ave – Hartl Ag Building
Setup Time: Friday May 9th from 9am to 7pm.
Please enter the gate located on the East side of the Fairgrounds. You will be able to drive right up to the
Hartl Ag building with your trailers and unload merchandise.
Friday evening Tate and I will be treating all vendors and their helpers to pizza and beverages. We will
order in pizza around 5:30pm. If you are finished setting up and want to come back and join us that
would be great.
Booth Space: Attached is a map of the building layout and spreadsheet showing your space number.
Please note that your booth location may change at the last minute if we find the need to shuffle spots
once we start setting up. We hope not too, but since this is our first time in the building and because
Maria struggles with using a tape measure. You never know. 
Vendors will need to provide their own tables and chairs for their booths. Booths will be sectioned off on
the floor, there will be no physical dividers.
We are completely sold out for the show and have limited space for walkways. You will be expected to
stay inside the perimeters of your booth. The fire marshal is VERY strict on this and will be making a
walk thru of the event on Saturday morning. If you are outside of the lines you will have to move your
merchandise before we can open the doors.
Vendors are expected to carry enough merchandise to keep a well stocked booth during the entire event.
You will be allowed to bring in additional merchandise as you sell items.
DO NOT TAPE, STAPLE OR NAIL ANYTING TO THE BUILDING WALLS. They recently added really
nice pine to the building and will charge us significantly if we damage anything. In turn we will charge
you for any damage to the building. We will also take away your birthday. So please be very careful.
When you arrive please come in the Main Entrance and find an Eco Chic employee who will show you to
your booth space and help you find the best door to unload through.
Vendor Badges: Small Booth (8x10) vendors will receive 2 vendor badges. Large Booth (8 x 20) will
receive 3 vendor badges. If you need more please see an Eco Chic employee. We trust our vendors to
only get badges for actual workers and not their entire neighborhood and all their crazy cousins.
Sales Tax ID: The ND Tax Commissioner is aware of our event and is being very strict about us providing
a list of vendors and Sales Tax Id numbers to them. Please email your sales tax ID number to
Maria@beingecochic.com.
Business Insurance: You are required to carry liability insurance for your business and for the show.
Eco Chic will not be held responsible should anything happen during the show.
Electricity: There are outlets in the building. How close to your space is the question. We cannot
guarantee everyone will have electricity. You may need to run an extension cord behind your booth to
reach the closest outlet. Please bring a lengthy extension cord should you need one.
Parking: There will be plenty of room on the West side of the Hartl Ag building to park your trailers.
Can I get a Whoop Whoop on this one. No more taking trailers to the Home Depot parking lot.
Weather: Event is now inside. (Whoop Whoop!) Junk Market goes on rain, shine, snow, wind or raining
cats and dogs (or goats) If we could even get this lucky.
What you sell: Vendors are only allowed to sell the merchandise that was approved in their application.
There is NO sharing of vendor space unless approved ahead of time by Maria.
Children (Under age 9) and Pets: We love our kids and pets but for their safety will not be allowed in
vendor booths during show hours. The event is very busy and the crowds are like hungry carnivores so
for their safety please leave them at home.
Saturday Morning Schedule: Vendors must be on site and in their booth by 7:30 am on Saturday May
10th. Event doors for vendors will open at 6:45am.
This year we are offering an Early Bird Edition of Junk Market. We quickly sold 225 tickets to this
exclusive offering. I think we could have sold many more but wanted to limit it so that it felt exclusive.
Early Bird shoppers will be shopping from 8am to 10am. They will be treated to donuts and coffee while
they shop.
General Admission doors will open at 10am. We expect the line to be long. Be prepared for the rush.
Tear Down. Event closes at 5pm. DO NOT tear down any part of your booth before 5pm. DO NOT pull
any trucks or trailers to the East Customer Entrance until after 5pm. We expect many customers to shop
during the last few hours due to the Fargo Marathon. Clean up any trash or debris from your booth and
place OUTSIDE in dumpsters. Your mommy will not be at Junk Market and will not clean up after you.
Most of all, Thank You for being a part of this event. We hope you will consider joining us for the first
ever two day Junk Market on Sept 19th and 20th!
