The definition of key activities is: issuing of offer/contract, approval of managing documents, qualification of personnel, performing of sampling and/or testing, approval of test reports. If the locations are performing different testing/sampling this has to be specified.
For standard method: give name of standard, year of publication and issue number Methods that are not performed in accordance with the instruction of approved standard are defined as internal methods: Quote method name and if possible the documentation on which it is based upon
Measurement principle: equipment / technique for not standard methods shall always be listed
Each methods shall have a clear laboratory identity
Range of measurement in which the laboratory whish to report accredited results. For qualitative testing shall the limit of detection always be listed
Total uncertainty which covers the whole range of measurement / or if possible additional uncertainties which cover the whole range of measurement. If the uncertainty is expressed in other than 95% confidence it shall be quoted (equivalent with 2 times standard deviation).
Internal control is provided using one or more of following: A. Statistical methods (for instance control chart).
B. participation in inter laboratory comparison (round robin, ring test). C. Use of reference material / standard. D. Use of certified reference material. E. Replicate measurement made on the same test object (double analysis).
