Show Rules:
1. Judging times are accurate as possible but can be subject to change.
2. All ridden ponies or horses must be 4 years old & over.
3. Riding Hats; riders must wear a riding hat whilst mounted on horseback at all times and they
must wear correctly fitted protective headgear which complies with the latest British Standard.
Handlers of ponies/horses in the In hand classes who are under 14 years old must wear properly
secured hats to current British Standards.
5. Stallions, in the interest of safety, stallions may only be ridden/ handled by persons over 14
years of age, with the exception of small breeds Mountain & Moorland stallions, where the
rider/handler must have attained 12th birthday by 1st January in the current year. Stallions are not
permitted in any young handler, fun classes, junior ridden m & m, lead rein or first ridden classes.
6. Bridles, unless otherwise stated any suitable bridle may be used. Ponies shown on the lead rein
may only be shown in a snaffle bridle.
7. Insurance, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to insure all property and livestock on the
showground or elsewhere which is his own, or which he is responsible including public liability
insurance.
8. Dogs are permitted on the showground but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up
after your dog.
9. Please do not muck your trailer or horsebox out on the showground.
10. The show organizers have taken all responsible precautions to ensure the health and safety of
everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable
precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring. The show organizers will not be liable for any
claim in respect of damage, loss, injury or accident, to any person, horse or property however
caused. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant has read and understood these
terms and conditions
11. Entry fees are non-refundable. If the show has to be cancelled for any reason then every
provision will be made to re-schedule.
12. The Judges decision is final.
13. Objections, any exhibitor feeling aggrieved must take his protest in writing within one hour of
the completion of judging of the class and pay a deposit to the secretary of £20.00. Objections will
not be entertained from any person or organization not exhibiting in the same class as the animal
to which the objection is raised.
14. NO WEARING OF FACE/BODY JEWELLERY in any classes.
15. In leading rein classes the lead rein must be attached to the noseband.
TSR Gala Show Riders Championships
Classes 14-21 are qualifiers for the TSR Gala Show which is held on 20th & 21st July 2013 at Arena
(UK), Grantham. TSR Members have 1 Free Entry. More info at www.theshowingregister.co.uk
FIVEWINDS STUD VETERAN CHAMPIONSHIP
This is open to all veteran horses & ponies 15 years and over and will be run in conjunction with in
hand and ridden classes.
There is no additional entry fee. The highest placed veteran in each class will be awarded a first
prize veteran rosette.
All veteran rosette holders will be eligible to enter the Veteran
Championship. The Champion Veteran and the Reserve Champion Veteran will go forward to the
Supreme Show Championship.

presented by Eastern Horse Box Hire.

CLASS 14. EQUIMAX / EQUIFEST OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND. Open to
Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Connemara,
Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C and D. Stallion,
mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider any age. This class may be divided as
appropriate.
CLASS 15. THE COLNE STUD / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LEAD REIN. Open to
Mountain & Moorland ponies, registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Dartmoor,
Exmoor, New Forest, Shetland and Welsh A or B. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not
exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current
year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a Snaffle Bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the
noseband only.
CLASS 16. THE CHOYNOWSKI / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND FIRST RIDDEN.
Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies, registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of
Dartmoor, Exmoor, New Forest, Shetland, and Welsh A or B. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and
over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in
the current year. To be shown in any suitable bridle.
Greenwings Stud Ridden Championship. 1st & 2nd prize winners from Classes 13 – 16 to
compete for Champion, Reserve and 1st Reserve.
CLASS 17. OPTIMUM COOLING LTD / EQUIFEST RIDDEN HUNTERS
Open Ridden Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 153cms. Riders any age.
CLASS 18. OPEN HORSE Ridden Hacks / Riding Horses / Cobs mare or gelding, 4 years old &
over, Riders any age.
CLASS 19.YORKSHIRE SUPPORTERS / EQUIFEST RIDDEN PART BREDS. Stallion, mare or
gelding, 4 years old and over. Exhibits in this section must be registered in the Part Bred section of
their respective Breed Society. Registration numbers must be stated on the entry form. Horses
and ponies will not be ridden at the final. Riders any age.
CLASS 20. BSPA / EQUIFEST RIDDEN PIEBALD / SKEWBALD
Open ridden Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over. Riders any age. The
first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championship. Subject to their show rules &
conditions. Classes may be divided according to entries.
CLASS 21. OPEN Ridden Pony. 153cms and under. Riders any age. But NO Leading Reins.
The Fivewinds Veteran Championship. The highest placed veteran in each class will
qualify to compete for Champion, Reserve and 1st Reserve. Sponsored by Johanna

Clements Equine Open Ridden Championship. 1st & 2nd prize winners from Classes 17 –
21 to compete for Champion, Reserve and 1st Reserve. Champion will receive a Rug
presented by Eastern Horse Box hire. Sponsored by Charlotte Taylor
Colin Keeling Equestrian Supreme Show Championship. Champion & Reserve Champions
to compete for Overall Supreme, Reserve and 1st Reserve of the show. Sashes to
winners - champion £50, reserve £25. Sponsored by Colin Keeling Equestrian and AP
