Show Rules:
1. Judging times are accurate as possible but can be subject to change.
2. All Novice ridden ponies or horses must be in a snaffle bridle.
3. Riding Hats, riders must wear a riding hat whilst mounted on horseback at all times and they wear
correctly fitting protective headgear which complies too the latest British Standard. We accept no
responsibility for any injury arising from failure to comply with this regulation. Handlers of
ponies/horses in the In Hand classes who are under 14 years old must wear properly secured hats to
current British Standards.
4. Colts 2 years and over must be bitted. 4a. Foal are not to be bitted.
5. Contagious Disease, all exhibitors are asked to be aware of animals on the showground and ensure
that all exhibits are fit and well.
6. Stallions, in the interest of safety, stallions may only be ridden/handled by persons over 14 years of
age, with the exception of small breeds Mountain & Moorland stallions, where the rider/handler must
have attained 12th birthday by 1st January in the current year. Stallions are not permitted in any young
handler, fun classes, junior ridden m & m, lead rein or first ridden classes.
7. Bridles, unless otherwise stated any suitable bridle may be used. Ponies shown on the lead rein may
only be shown in a snaffle bridle.
8. Spurs, must not be worn in any show pony, show hunter pony, intermediate SRT or ridden m & m
classes.
9. Insurance, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to insure all property and livestock on the
showground or elsewhere which is his own, or which he is responsible including public liability
insurance.
10. Show Hunter Ponies, 122cm riders not to have attained 12th birthday. Exc 122cm but not exc 133cm
riders not to have attained 14th birthday. Exc 133cm but not exc 143cm riders not to have attained 17th
birthday. Exc 143cm but not exc 153cm riders not to have attained 20 th birthday. Before 1st January in the
current year. In Show ponies 148CMS – . Riders not to have attained their 17th. 138CMS –Riders not to have
attained their 15th birthday. 128CMS –Riders not to have attained their 13th birthday before 1st January in the
current year. .
11. Dogs are permitted on the showground but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up after
your dog.
12. Please do not muck your trailer or horsebox out on the showground.
13. Please take your litter home or use the bins provided.
14.The show organizers have taken all responsible precautions to ensure the health and safety of
everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to
avoid and prevent accidents occurring.
15. The show organizers shall not be liable for any claim in respect of damage, loss, injury or accident, to
any person, horse or property howsoever caused. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each
entrant has read and understood these terms and conditions
16. Entry fees are not refundable. If the show has to be cancelled for any reason then every provision
will be made to re-schedule.
17. The Judges decision is final. Also the organizers have a right to refuse entries without given reason.
18. Objections, any exhibitor feeling aggrieved must take his protest in within one hour of the
completion of judging of the class and pay a deposit to the secretary of £20.00. Objections will not be
entertained from any person or organization not exhibiting in the same clas s as the animal to which the
objection is raised.

Class 32. SHOW PONY FIRST RIDDEN – mare or gelding, 4 years old and
over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 10th
birthday before 1st January in the current year. Any suitable bridle.
Class 33. SHOW HUNTER PONY LEAD REIN mare or gelding, 4 years old
and over,not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 8th
birthday before 1st January in the current year. Snaffle bridles only, the
lead rein to be attached to the noseband.
Class 34. SHOW HUNTER PONIES,122cm but not to exc 153cm, riders
must be the correct age for height of their pony, please refer to rules.
Class 35. RIDDEN PART BRED stallion,mare or gelding, 4 years old and
over, any height. Riders any age.
Class 36. SHOW PONIES not to exceed 148cm mare or gelding, 4 years
old and over riders must be the correct age for height of their pony, please
refer to rules.
Championship H. 1st & 2nd prize winners from classes 30-35.
Class 37. M & M Lead Rein, ponies not to exc 122cm, rider not to have
attained 9th birthday before 1st January 2013. Lead rein must be attached
to noseband.
Class 38. M & M First Ridden, ponies not to exc 122cm, rider not to have
attained 12th birthday before 1st January 2013. Cantering only allowed in
individual show.
Class 39. M & M Small Breeds, Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B
