The library has re-opened after the Christmas break and is enjoying high attendance records: on Monday 5 January we had 1,044 people, Tuesday 927 and Wednesday 804. There are also lots of new library members including two new Home Library members. We hope that you are staying cool and have plenty of good books to read over the summer holidays. Summer 2015 Thank you for always wearing your Home Library badges. It is helpful to library staff to know who you are and it is part of your role when entering the homes of our library patron. What’s new at Wagga Library The Home Library Service Update If you know anyone who would benefit from the Home Library service please ask them to call the library on 69269700 so we can arrange for a volunteer to be assigned to them. There are many wonderful friendships formed through Home Library and we appreciate your assistance in spreading the good word to those living in our neighbourhood, who have difficulty accessing the Library. We now have a waiting list for the next lot of Volunteers who require training. But before we train them, we need about 10 more Home Library clients so please talk to your friends, family and neighbours to help expand the list. Some former members have transitioned to residential facilities and are now able to access the Community Links Library Service that delivers a quarterly service to nine Aged Care facilities in Wagga Wagga. Reminder Don’t forget to sign in and collect extra brochures, magnets, badges etc.. when you are doing your Home Library service. Please let the library staff know if there is anything we can do to assist you.
