Leadhills Primary School November /December 2014 Local Heritage Study Christmas Carol Concert Pupils and staff had a great heritage walk around Leadhills on Monday 3rd November. Pupils used the I Pads to take photographic and audio evidence of their walk. Thank you to Mrs Foley for organising the walk and to Mrs Hamilton and Mr Foley for allowing us into the Miner’s Library. We will be hosting a Christmas Carol service on Monday 15th December 2014, 6.30-8.30pm, in Leadhills Primary School. The pupils were able to see how books were lent, as well as artefacts such as curling medals and John Taylor’s walking stick. There will be refreshments available after the service as well as various articles of craft made by the pupils, for sale. On returning to school pupils were able to create a draft of what they would like to see in the Stained Glass as well as creating a draft questionnaire for parents and the wider community. Pupils and staff are looking forward to looking at Flora and Fauna which grows in Leadhills and also participating in Poetry workshops. Pupils from both classes will perform various carols/ Christmas songs and it is hoped that you will be able to come along and enjoy the festivities.
