Title of the Project
Post-processing of multimedia content for
intelligent metadata strategies for adaptive
content compression and streaming.
This project aims to develop methods to post-process multimodal content in order to extract a
number of pieces of information that can be utilised within an expanded metadata framework
in order to intelligently inform compression methods used for the delivery high quality
multimodal content streamed to a number of media devices. The goal is to develop a system
that is cognizant of the creative and technical aspects related to content compression and
streaming. This is an important issue for content developers and delivery platforms (e.g Netflix)
who stream high-quality multimodal content in a manner that preserves the creative choices of
the creators and participants, as well as ensuring that a number of technical requirements are
met in order to successfully deliver the content to end users.
Please indicate the student requirements for this project
