-use combinations of gestural, spatial, spoken
language, and audio.
Examples: dance, performance, oral story

VISUAL TEXT
-For example, representation of people,
objects, and places can be conveyed using
choices of visual semiotic resources such as
line, shape, size, line, and symbols

-use sentences that are typed on paper or
screen

1. LINGUISTICS- vocabulary, structure, grammar of oral/written language
2. VISUAL- colour, vectors and viewpoint in still and moving images
3. AUDIO or AURAL- volume, pitch, and rhythm of music and sound
effects
4. GESTURAL- movement, facial expression, and body language
5. SPATIAL- proximity, direction, position of layout, organization of
objects in space
