Similarities
All three presentations deal with hand hygiene. It tells us the knowledge to understand the importance of hand hygiene to protect us
from COVID-19. It also discusses both how to hand wash and use hand rub to prevent the spread of germs during the COVID-19
pandemic, which is currently underway.

presentation one as digital
multimodal text, it uses
linguistics,
visual,
and
spatial.
For the paper-based
multimodal
text
in
presentation two, it
uses only linguistics.
Choices
of
words,
phrases, and sentences
are organized through
linguistics
grammar
conventions,
register,
and genre.
For the live multimodal
text, as an example in
presentation
three
regarding
hand
hygiene,
all
the
elements
of
the
multimodal text are
present:
linguistics,
visual, audio, gestural,
and spatial.

As we can see in issue one
that I have chosen, the

Both issues concern
seafarers’ ability to cope

COVID-19. It advises us
to speak with our
families or friends if we
feel down or stressed
while on board.
As an example in issue
two that I have chosen
regarding coping with
stress during COVID-19,

linguistics
is
conveyed to the reader
for the paper-based
multimodal text.
