Waste Management’s Responsible Recycling Program will be handling the electronic recycling
component of this event. Because older electronics contain potentially harmful metals but also
contain valuable reusable materials, it’s important that they be recycled in an environmentallysound manner. The R2 Program establishes a set of accepted practices that help protect the
environment and workers’ health and safety during the handling of electronic waste, provides the
ability for third parties to monitor activity and offers greater transparency in the fast-growing
electronics recycling sector. Learn more about Waste Management's Electronics Recycling
