Red Lead Application
Please have a UCM Faculty or Staff member write a letter of recommendation on your behalf for
this position. The letters can be emailed to Sally@ucmo.edu or you may bring a sealed paper
copy with you, the letter needs to be sent by your interview date. Please include your interview
availability for 4/6-4/10. Applications are due 4/3 to the front desk of Smiser Alumni
Center (in the Union).

Executive Positions
Executive positions will receive a $300 scholarship per semester and are required to complete 6
office hours a week 4 of which must be completed in office. Executive positions require more
responsibility and leadership- some weeks you might work more than 6 hours depending upon
the week. Executive members need to be innovative, creative, hardworking, and team oriented.
Executive members are required to work 30% of events each semester.
Advertising/ Publicity Executive:
This position would oversee a committee that would work primarily with our Red Marketing
program. Their job would be to work with Red Marketing on publicity and advertisement for
upcoming events. They would be in charge of creating posters and other displays. They will work
with the Historian committee on the display case, as well.
Recruitment and Professional Development Executive:
This position would have a committee that is composed of a few people that are in charge of
getting the word out about Red Lead. Our application process is now open year around. The job
of this committee is to bring in students that will bring something to our program and benefit
the association. In addition this position will plan events for our members such as an etiquette
dinner, LinkedIn programs, networking workshops, and help with resumé builders. We would
like to have something small at each meeting. Meetings will be approximately every two weeks.
Future Focus Executive:
This person is in charge of a who research ways that we can better our program. Red Lead is a
part of the CASE ASAP Student Advancement Program. When under this committee you will
going through this program and routinely research what works for other universities around the
nation. This committee will apply for awards through CASE ASAP and help us develop
presentations for the conferences. This committee will also work with the Student Engagement
and Philanthropy committee.
Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day/ National Philanthropy Day Executive:
This position would work with a committee that would work with the Future Focus Committee.
This committee is in charge of planning and executing a week each semester that will raise
awareness to our student body about our office, alumni donations, and having them prepare to
become alumni. For further information about Student Engagement and Philanthropy

Historian/ Social Media Executive:
This person will be in charge of a committee that will be in responsible for taking pictures at
events, finding pictures and content for social media, updates that will go out to alumni through
the eNewsletter, and will work with the Advertising/Publicity committee on the display case.
Events/Programs Executive:
This person will be in charge of a committee that will keep our Google Calendar, Google Drive,
and Points System up to date and will help out the Alumni Association with any upcoming
events. Occasionally, this will mean helping send out information to alumni including occasional
phone calls, letters, or emails.
Networking Positions
Networking position are volunteer positions, each networker (after being selected as a member
of Red Lead) will apply for a committee and will work with the executive board member as
necessary to complete tasks and projects. In addition networkers will assist with alumni and
student engagement events on campus. Each committee will have a minimum of three
networkers serving on that committee.
