Its extensive portfolio of "technology leading" products have provided solutions for many different type of railways systems across the world. We currently have involvement on multi million pound high profile projects in the UK such as Crossrail, Thameslink and Birmingham New Street improvement. We also work on international projects from our Chippenham headquarters (where you will be based initially) including Taiwan’s metro system in Taipei. What are my responsibilities? Assist in delivering project engineering workpackages Develop knowledge and skills in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications and system design Build a working knowledge of our products, systems and strategies for implementation Prepare and maintain team resource schedules to identify resource utilisation and work with the Principle Project Engineer to maximize resource utilisation/efficiency Carry out work placements in specified technical and non-technical business functions What do I need to qualify for this job? A minimum 2:1 degree in an engineering, software or technology based subject A bachelor’s or master’s degree which must be accredited towards acquiring Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant institution A willingness to learn and ability to innovate Safety culture aware – to be able to influence and develop an existing safety culture to latest generation thinking and practice Aspiration to be a leader or specialist within an engineering environment What else do I need to know? This role will require travel around the UK so you will need to be flexible in regards to travel.
