Talent Show 2015
*** Please read carefully! ***
It’s that time of year when we gear up for our annual Talent Show. The show
date this year is Friday, Feb. 20th. The show will be an evening (7:00 pm)
performance. It is time to plan your act! (In the case of inclement weather, the
show will be rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 27th)
Students in grades K-5 are invited to perform. Last year we were thrilled to
showcase about 60 performers in 34 acts and they were all amazing! The
maximum time limit is 2 minutes per act. Please be cooperative in meeting
this request.
Each student may perform in only one act. Be prepared for your audition by
arriving with music (if needed) and all members of your group ready to perform.
You will need to arrange time to prepare for this audition. Please do not come
to the audition unless you have your music and act ready.
**A reminder that all music and costumes must be appropriate for school. If
you are not sure about your song or costume, please contact
vherr09@gmail.com
If you are performing in a group, please try to staple all group member
permission slips together and hand into one teacher. If you are not able to, just
make sure you have your group members listed on the form.
Please have your parent/guardian sign the attached permission slip and return
it to your teacher by Friday, Feb. 6th. We will need time to review th slips and
set the rehearsal schedule.
The rehearsal schedule will be as follows:
Rehearsal night has been split in half to save time for everyone. We need at
least one parent to stay with each group or individual act.
** If you do not show up for rehearsal, we will assume that you are not
performing in the show.
Tuesday, February 10th 6:00 - 7:00 – All dance acts.
Tuesday, February 10th 7:00 - 8:15 - Following the dance acts will be all
remaining acts: Singing, lip sync, instrumental, hula hooping, jumproping, magic, karate, comedy acts, etc.
Snowdate for Rehearsal: Wednesday, February 11th.
Please make sure you have your music ready. You need to bring your CD. If
you need help with your music, contact Marc Hayford, kinghayf@comcast.net.
Please label music with your name and song title. If possible, we would like to
keep your CD to compile a playlist for the show. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO
THIS REHEARSAL IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED WITH YOUR MUSIC
LABELED, YOUR GROUP MEMBERS, AND YOUR DANCE. We need to make
the best use of your time.
Dress rehearsal will be as follows:
Tuesday, February 17th - This is your one and only dress rehearsal (6:008:00). Come dressed in your costume and props. Please make sure that all
costumes are appropriate for school.
Snowdate for Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, February 19th.
We are trying to make the rules clear and easy to follow so that we can
eliminate waiting time for everyone and help the rehearsals run smoothly.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
