Ancient Egyptian Journal Entry
IB Assessment Criterion A: Knowing and Understanding
Writing Prompt: You will write a journal entry from the point of view of an ancient Egyptian
citizen. There is no length requirement, but be sure to review the rubric to make sure you work
meets the requirements for the highest score. Your journal entry must include:
-a description of your role in Egyptian society (Pharaoh, noble, government official,
scribe, soldier, merchant, craftsman, farmer, slave OR wife of one of those)
-a description of your daily life/responsibilities
-you must use at least three vocabulary terms related to ancient Egypt and they should
be underlined or highlighted
