-Select an area of Latino culture and give a 3 minute and 30 second (or more) oral presentation en español, claro.
Separately, you will have to answer your classmates’ and my follow-up questions, as part of this assignment. You may
use a note card that does not contain more than 4, short bullet points. Your note card cannot have any conjugated verbs,
just infinitives. You will turn in your note card (w/ your name on it) after you present. There will be a follow-up quiz on
your classmates’ and your presentations, too.
-Areas you may select from can *include: 1) art, 2) literature 3) politics, 4) “gastronomía”(food), 5) sport, 6) cinema, 7)
traditions, 8) festivals, 9) music, 10) revolution, 11) math, 12) science, 13) Bullfighting, 14) fashion, etc.
-You will discuss the aspect of culture you have chosen regarding its importance, significance and relationship to Latino
society. Things like the origin and history of your topic may also be relevant.
-You must relate your topic on Hispanic culture to your own culture right here in the U.S.-“Muestra”(prop)- You will need to bring in a “muestra” that goes along with or is symbolic of your presentation.
-As was the case with the previous presentations, you need to speak by using language that is yours and not someone
else’s. (I do know how you speak in Spanish.)
