Biome Projects You are going on a biology mission trip to different biomes from around the world! Your mission will be to discover some new and interesting things about different biomes from all over the world. Mrs. Bickel would love to hear all about your discoveries. Therefore, you will prepare a class presentation to share the wealth of information you gathered about your unique biome. Be creative, have fun, and discover something you never knew about our world before! Guidelines: 1. Your presentation needs to be creative. a. Have fun! You can create a movie, a newscast, a song, a slideshow 2. It needs to be between 3-6 minutes in length. 3. You must dress professionally the day you give your presentation. 4. You must give a clear and rehearsed presentation. 5. You must include the following information: a. Research 5 different animals from your Biome and include pictures. i. Find interesting facts on your animal; what they eat, are they a producer, consumer, what adaptations allow for survival in that biome, etc…. b. Research 2 different plants from your biome and include pictures. i. Find interesting facts on your plants; why are they in your biome, adaptations, what feeds on them, etc…. c. Picture of your Biome Location on a world map i. Include what country it is found in or what continent. d. Give the yearly averages of precipitation and temperature for your biome. i. Make note of different seasons found in your biome. Detail! e. Scenic Pictures of your biome. (Like you took them while on this trip) f. Create a food web for the producers and consumers of your specific Biome. If an animal does not live in your biome, then you cannot put it on your web. You may put more animals in your web than you researched. You create this; you do not find one online and use it as your own! g. Give one complete scientific classification of one of your organisms. h. F and G need to be typed and printed out. These will be turned in the day the project it due. I will be attaching your graded rubric to these and returning it to you with your final grade.
