Year 1/2 Homework Menu Summer 1: Conquests and Castles Due date: Thursday 21st May Children should complete at least one activity a week. The suggested homework is in bold writing. Otherwise the children can of course complete as many of the homework choices as they like! What do I know and understand? Look at pictures of castles in books or on the internet. Can I apply and show what I know? Tell someone in your family what you know about castles. What can I question, compare and analyse? Prepare a set of questions you might ask someone who lived in a castle a long time ago. I enjoy working with numbers Draw a castle with 6 turrets. Draw a range of castles. Can you make them all different? Research different sorts of castles. I enjoy being scientific Talk about what I know about castles. Give reasons as to why a castle might have high walls.
