Rules, Regulations and sizes for Dumpsters and Roll-Off Containers
1. Dumpsters available are 1 ½ yard, 2 yard and 6 yard. Roll-off containers available are 20 yard
and 30 yard.
2. For roll-off dumpsters, there is a 21 calendar day use limit on the container. The container will
be automatically removed on the 21st day with the exception of Saturday or Sunday, unless the
customer notifies Cooley Sanitation in advance of the 21st day.
3. The prices for the 20 yard and the 30 yard, plus tax and landfill fees, are a PER DUMP price.
4. For dumpsters, you will have the use for as long as you need it, but it will be emptied a
minimum of one time in a 28 day period. If we don’t empty the dumpster, you will be charged
an amount for rental.
5. If the 1 ½, 2 or 6 yard dumpster needs to be emptied more frequently, please call 319-232-8511
to make arrangements. We can add you to a route for monthly, twice a month or weekly pickup.
6. All materials must be level full to the rim of the container. Nothing should extend above the top
or sides of the container.
7. No dirt, rocks, concrete, cement, asphalt, blacktop, tile, bricks, gravel, sand, stucco, composition
roofing, or any other heavy building or construction material is permitted in any container other
than a 6 yard for construction, a 20 yard or 30 yard roll-off.
*The Landfill assesses additional charges (which will be passed along to you) for the following items
AND they should be separate for other waste (leave them beside your dumpster):

*The Landfill considers the following unacceptable (please do NOT dispose of these items in the
dumpsters/roll-offs):

Yard Waste of any kind

Insecticides

Full Paint Cans (empty, dry paint

Pesticides
cans are considered garbage)

All Liquids
o
Auto Hulks
o
Any other toxic or hazardous
o
Batteries
materials listed by the EPA or Iowa
o
Raw Sludges
DNR
o
Dead Animals
o
Radioactive Wastes
o
Herbicides
