Job Specification Projects Intern JOB DESCRIPTION We are currently looking for an intern to help co-ordinate a variety of projects regarding the treatment of eating disorders. The work will be varied and will include research on apps for smart phones and general administration. We will provide training for all aspects of the role. DURATION Succeed Interns are required to work for a minimum of 3 months, starting in November. Internship programme 14 hours per week (2 days a week: 7 hours per day, 10am-5pm, which includes a 1hr lunch break). FLEXIBILITY The Succeed Foundation is well aware that Interns, whilst being involved with The Succeed Foundation, are also in full time education, seeking full-time employment, applying for graduate schools, or working/studying part-time. As such, we offer flexible work hours, as we are keen to help you further your professional and/or educational aspirations. We would kindly ask that you communicate your schedule in advance so that we are aware of your absence, and can anticipate changes in time-patterns. The Succeed Foundation offices are staffed Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00. CONDITIONS The Succeed Foundation Internship Programme will be based at the Succeed Foundation premises in South Kensington, London. Each Intern will have their own computer and access to the Internet. When appropriate, Interns may be asked to work from home. Interns will have access to Kitchenette facilities (complimentary coffee/tea and any other items that are provided by the office for Succeed staff). TRANSPORT & LUNCH DAILY STIPEND The Succeed Foundation Internship Programme is unpaid. However, The Succeed Foundation will offer £5/day travel expenses. CONTRACT Before you begin the Internship Programme you will be asked to sign two documents: 1. Internship – Work Agreement, stipulating rights and responsibilities 2. Confidentiality Agreement REFERENCES At the end of each Internship, each Intern will receive a Letter of Reference. THE ROLE Tasks including: Vodcasts (We are producing series of videos and an accompanying app for self-help treatment) Developing content for App Contacting various app programmers Assist with development of dissemination plan New Project Research Detailed online and library research of similar projects and papers available to analyse the field Evaluating, filtering and summarising research found Producing draft ideas of content for consideration by academics You may also be asked to help out with Fundraising Race packs, the DVD project and other general admin.
