President LeaAnne Mooney called the regular meeting to order September 30, 2013 at 4:00 in
Moody Room 130. Secretary Lauren Salathe called the roll.

Ellis from Phi Kappa Theta
o Phi Kappa Splatta
 Paint Olympics theme with different paint themed activities.
 October 18th 2pm-until
 Teams of 8 with $10/person
 In grass next to PKT house

 Proceeds go to Children’s Miracle Network
 Possible bake sale to raise more money.

 Expansion committee
o Emily Kern moved to vote on expansion committee and MaryBeth seconded the
motion.
o Vote from chapters next week whether we will have a committee on extension or
not.
o Starting process over again.
VP Recruitment –Emily Kern
 We had the post- recruitment meeting this past week. It went well and we are talking
about making changes about skit preview day. We want to limit skit preview day will be
limited to friends and families, no gamma chi’s or fraternity men. You will have limited
amounts of invitations each chapter can give out to alumnae. We will also do away with
the ice cream social. Next year we want to start recruitment earlier each day, maybe noon
or 1pm.
VPJ – Megan Holland
 Jr. Panhellenic is going really well. Please encourage new members to educate their
chapters on upcoming events at new member meetings.
VPE – Lacey Guillory
 Semester Speaker

 Sell balloons for $1 and raffle tickets would be inside and you
would win a prize.
 Either doing it at speaker or Cajun Karaoke
o Social/Inter-Greek (Callie, Casie, Sloane, Sarah)
 $500 budget
 Friday November 22 at 3pm we will have Greeksgiving
 Gumbo, rolls, and coke products



Deans Announcement
- New office Martin Hall Rm. 223
- New Member orientation is October 2 from 6-8pm. MANDATORY! In Angelle Hall. All
excuses need to be sent to Greek Council.
- Fall Break October 10th and 11th
- Rho Lambda application are due October 8th
o Presidents can nominate Jr.’s and non-graduating seniors.
- November 9th facilities office is looking at planting trees all over sorority row and each
chapter will adopt a tree.
- Recruitment t-shirt orders need be given to Dean Schwartz ASAP. They are being
ordered tomorrow
- Nov. 6 is Greek night for the Louisiana Ice Gators
- If you go, $1 of your ticket price will go to your chapter’s philanthropy. Tickets cost $10
per person.
- Big Event Saturday October 19th
o Today is the last day to sign up!
o Students show up at 7:30am-noon at Cajun Field and you are sent out to do
community service around Lafayette.
- Greek Speaker is set for January 23rd. Location TBA.
- Greek Soccer Cup October 18th
- March 10-14 is Greek Week
- Homecoming game is November 2nd
- October 26 is spooktacular at 1pm. Make sure you are doing online form.

- Final roster updates are due November 22nd
- Please be working on excellence packets!
- Greek Retreat is January 24th and 25th

- List of names and sizes for recruitment t-shirts for chapter members due today! Prices
will be around $6
- September 24 at 5pm is the post recruitment meeting.

CHAPTER NEWS
 November 16th from 10am- until end of game is the 1st Annual Tri-Sigma Chili Cookoff.
o $5 to come eat. $50 for team for early sign-up and $75 to late sign up.




The Latino Music festival is this Saturday from Noon-10pm at parc international.
October 17th from 6-8pm is Delta Desserts. $10/ticket and unlimited desserts.
AOPi has a smore out is October 27th at 7pm at the intermural field.
