- Detected the forest cover change in Changbai Mountain by calculating NDVI from
MODIS data with ENVI.

Independent Research, analysis of the climate change in china’s Yunnan–Guizhou
plateau region and its response to Asian monsoon activities.
- Analyzed temperature trend rate, precipitation variation, and climate periodicity in
Yunnan–Guizhou plateau from 1951 to 2007;
- Performed a correlation analysis between the climate change trend and the index of
horse latitudes and several indexes of Asian monsoons;
- Gained hands-on skills of time-series analysis using MATLAB, such as MannKendall test and Morlet wavelet analysis.
