Literature (Shakespeare) Criticism – A Research Process

Literature Criticism

Shakespeare presents us with works that have multiple meanings, expecting
us to consider the works thoughtfully and to interpret their meaning in our
own way.

Writers, scholars and critics of Shakespeare build on each other’s
understanding of the works of literature, in a kind of dialogue and present
their work for analysis.

Shakespeare’s body of scholarly research and criticism is extensive.
Scholars and critics evaluate and debate not only the body of work,
also the ideas and philosophies of fellow critics.
