What did he do?
William Shakespeare was a famous
poet and writer.
Where and when did he live?
Shakespeare lived in Stratford upon
Avon in the 1500s.
More specifically, what did he do in
London during the time of his
theatrical career?
He wrote plays and was a owner of a
play company called Lord
chamberlains men.
List some of Shakespeare’s well
known plays and include a brief
description for 3 of them.
Macbeth
Macbeth was one of Shakespeare’s
darkest and tragic plays and was
believed to be made between 1603
to 1607.
Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy
about 2 star crossed lovers who’s
family hates each other.
Hamlet
Hamlet is a play about prince hamlet
trying to get revenge on his uncle for
killing his father.
What is a sonnet?
A sonnet is a poem of 14 lines using
any number of formal rhyme
schemes.
What is a tragedy?
Tragedy is a event causing great
suffering, destruction and distress.
Why is he famous?
Shakespeare was a famous poet and
writer and has made some of the
best lyrical works ever.
How influential has Shakespeare
been?
Williams influence is extended from
literacy and cinema and have
affected a lot of people including
today and has helped in language,
plot, characterization and genre.
