Course Description:
This is a comprehensive study of World Geography. Students will learn the physical
areas of the regions of the world in addition to culture studies and country histories.
This course satisfies both a Geography High School credit and a 1 year History credit.
Computer I

Course Description:
Computer I will be an introductory class to basic computer skills. Students will learn the
basic operations for computers and then be able to apply this information to more
advanced computer classes or even for their own private computer use.
Grammar Plus

Course Description:
This class is for anyone in middle school through high school who needs to learn or
refresh their knowledge of the parts of grammar and sentences. In this class students will
learn all parts of grammar and how they are used in sentences. We also review
capitalization and punctuation. We will do some writing while learning these concepts. I
also try to include some diagramming of sentences.

Supply List: small-medium embroidery hoop, embroidery floss, embroidery needles,
cotton tea towels, wide mouth mason jar with clean ring, thread, and scraps of cotton
fabric (students choice)
Course Description:
In this class, students will cover a number of sewing related projects. We will focus on
embroidery, mending, cross-stitch, count cross-stitch and quilting. Students will also
learn about gathering wild plants for eating and medicinal uses. We may also branch off
into some easy crafts, learning about fabric types, hemming, crocheting, and/or knitting
or weaving (as time permits). I will have easier projects for the younger students and
more advanced projects for the older students.
Saxon Math

Description:
Students will use this time for studying, as well as for discussion/on task time for the
Study Smart-Work Skills concept. Students will have opportunities to listen to guest
speakers discussing a profession, college or employer. This time also includes
opportunities for the students to socialize with each other.
