Congratulations! Your child has been chosen to participate in the _________ for the 2016 District
Music Festival.

WHAT IS THE DISTRICT MUSIC FESTIVAL?
The Festival is a performance which showcases the musical talent of some of the fourth grade
students in our district. Students from each elementary in the district are chosen to participate in a
particular ensemble or group. Ensembles performing include a choir and many activity groups from
each zone in the district.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
There are three requirements for participation. Students must be able to attend
all
scheduled
practices and performance, with their own transportation provided, and students are to
purchase the Festival T-shirt. Check the schedule of practices to be sure your child can attend
all practices and the performance. It is a possibility that there may be a few rehearsals at (Your
School), either in the morning or in the afternoon. (To be announced later if necessary) The cost
of the T-shirt is Youth – Adult XL are $8.00 and 2X- 4X are $10.00 and must be turned in with
this permission slip (cash only - district policy).
WHEN DOES THIS NEED TO BE TURNED IN?
Permission slips and T-shirt money must be in on or before Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
