VACANCY BULLETIN ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/SENIOR LECTURER ANIMAL SCIENCE Post level: 6/7 Ref. 12/320 The Department of Animal Science, in the Faculty of Science has a permanent position of Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer at the Pretoria Campus Critical Performance Areas Teaching and Learning in the disciplines of Animal Science/Production. Preparation and development of learning and assessment materials. Presentation of lectures, tutorial and practicals, on and off-campus. Participation in activities related to the learning programmes of the department such as curriculum development, quality assurance, community engagement as well as liaison with industry and other stakeholders. Participation in Departmental, Faculty and Institutional Activities. Research and Supervision of postgraduate students within the niche area of the Department. Minimum Requirements [ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR] A relevant Doctoral Degree. A BSc in Agriculture and/or B-Tech Degree in Agriculture specializing in Animal Production, Animal Breeding and/or Animal Genetics. Five (5) years of teaching and/or research experience. A proven research track record of publications in peer reviewed journals. Supervision of Masters and/or Doctoral Students. Industry liaison. Presentation at national and international conferences. Registration with South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions is recommended. NRF Rating will serve as a strong recommendation. [SENIOR LECTURER] A relevant Doctoral Degree.
