MARKETING DIRECTOR JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The ArtsCenter is seeking a full time Marketing Director to oversee the organization's marketing and communications efforts. This individual will be responsible for increasing the organization's brand position as a leader in the arts community, and for creating a coherent and effective strategy to communicate the organization's mission, vision, and values to the broader marketplace.

This exempt position reports to the Executive Director and serves as a member of the senior management team. This position participates with the Board of Directors, Executive Director and other management staff in charting the direction of the Organization, communicating its values and programs to all constituencies, and ensuring its effective operation.

The ideal candidate will understand the arts and arts education landscape, have experience in data driven marketing, communication, and PR, as well as an interest in and skill for external relations; s/he will also be highly detail-oriented and organized. ArtsCenter’s outreach base as well as expand audience to serve new communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Develop a comprehensive strategic marketing and communications plan to broaden organizational visibility and reach, helping the organization to meet its strategic priorities and deepen its impact

•Establish and track insightful metrics that illustrate the tangible impact of The ArtsCenter marketing and communication strategy

•Work with media outlets and vendors to execute on the marketing, communications and PR strategy

•Support the development of strategic alliances with other arts and educational organizations to promote visibility and profile in the region

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

•At least four years of marketing, communications or PR experience

•Prior work experience working in or closely with arts or arts education organizations preferred

•Proven success contributing to organizational growth and impact through marketing and communications work

•Demonstrated ability to employ a data driven and results oriented approach to marketing and communications

•Successful experience building the long-term brand and thought leadership position of an organization

•Demonstrated ability to translate our work as a community arts center into compelling stories of impact

Strong skill set in graphic design including production of posters, brochures, print ad and collateral. Knowledge of InDesign software essential for success

•Demonstrated success in managing projects from concept through execution; detail-oriented and highly organized

•Passion for making a difference through the arts and a track record that reflects this through professional and/or personal volunteer work

•Knowledge of performing arts including theater and music and arts education both K-12 and lifelong learning preferred

•Bachelor's degree in relevant field required

Preferred Candidates would have…

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop)

Experience using Wordpress CMS & Mailchimp Email Marketing

Experience with fundraising or CRM software; Experience working with large amounts of

CRM data in Excel

This is a full-time position with full benefits including vacation time and health and dental coverage. Salary range: $34,000-36,000
