Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing expert to join a professional and fast growing
company that wants to be the best. With a turnover of 15 million which is set to double over
the next three years, this is going to be an exciting challenge.
Purpose:
As the Head of Marketing you will create and deliver a strategy to strengthen this company’s
brand across the entire group, developing a cohesive and forward thinking sales programme to
influence the future direction and positioning of the company across the UK.
Responsibilities:















To lead the development and implementation of an all-encompassing sales and
marketing strategy for the Group, including leading the activities of the small sales
team to ensure delivery of business objectives.
Utilising online and digital tools to create significant increase in sales across the
business; this will require a thorough understanding of the size, opportunity,
demographics and geo-social spread of the care sector throughout the UK.
Managing, devising and implement awareness strategies, relying on your own
knowledge of sales conversion to initiate direct sales initiatives to key target groups at
key times of the year, with key sales messages.
Implement and manage a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database for the
group to model the company’s interactions with current and future customers.
Oversee website development and management to ensure the customer facing website
is honed to convert inquiries into sales.
Increase the sales revenue and profit levels in line with the national expansion of the
business (occupancy across the group).
Lead the team on all PR and special event activities for the group as appropriate.
Managing expenditure budgets and maintaining business plan throughout the whole
financial year.
Manage the design of all company literature and branded items.
Agency and supplier management.
Ensure customer service levels are met and exceeded.
Always strive to deliver operational excellence and improve the customer experience.
Researching the market to ensure we are offering a competitive products.
Visiting and training unit Managers/Deputy Managers to ensure they are closing the
sales at every opportunity.
Monitor the achievement of sales goals and variances to the business plan on a monthly
basis.
Initial Targets:





Increase visibility of the brand to current and future customers
Increase occupancy across the group
Increase web presence and use of social media
Increase search engine optimisation
Maximise efficiency of the CRM database and develop accordingly
Qualifications:

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Holds a relevant marketing qualification (CIM)
Experience:






Senior Management experience in a sales environment
Experienced in leading and motivating a customer service/sales team
Experienced in online/digital sales and marketing
Experience of managing budgets
Experienced in developing marketing plans/strategies
Experienced in working closely with other functional areas of the business
Knowledge and Skills:











Knowledge of a wide range of sales and marketing techniques and concepts combined
with strong IT skills
Presented impeccably, with a real ability to sell themselves
Strong attention to detail
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to use initiative
A good knowledge of the care industry would be advantageous
Be proactive and able to work to tight deadlines
Strategic thinker who has the ability to convert sales initiatives into an increase in
occupancy
Creative and passionate wordsmith
Process orientated (able to write, amend and implement processes)
Is naturally enthusiastic with the ability, drive and initiative to deliver solutions and
