INJAZ EGYPT Injaz Egypt is a non-profit organization that is a volunteer-based education program with a mission to inspire and empower Egyptian youth. Entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and professional skills, critical thinking and problem solving are conspicuously missing from the public curriculum and form the key components of INJAZ Egypt’s effort to empower our disadvantaged youth. The main aim is to urgently address the gaps that have left most Egyptian youth unprepared to become globally competitive professionals and entrepreneurs, and prepare as many as possible with skills, self-confidence and mentoring that will help them drive our future economy. Injaz Egypt is a member nation of Junior Achievement Worldwide and Young Enterprise Europe; the world’s largest and fastest growing organization specializing in economic education. Injaz Egypt is also part of the regional network Injaz al-Arab, which harnesses the mentorship of Arab business leaders to help inspire a culture of entrepreneurialism and business innovation among Arab youth throughout 14 countries in the MENA region. As a member of JA and Injaz al-Arab, Injaz Egypt benefits from programs that efficiently link business principles to school curricula, bringing together students, teachers and members of the business community. Injaz Egypt is in a distinctive position to actively engage the Egyptian community in inspiring and educating future generations. The Injaz model – unique in Egypt – forms a bridge between the private sector and education system by training volunteers from companies and placing them in public classrooms to act as mentors and transfer their knowledge about the workplace to students who have limited exposure to the world of business. Additionally, Injaz provides a variety of initiatives for companies and individual volunteers to choose from such as adopting a school or implementing an Injaz curriculum in a classroom. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Injaz Egypt’s private-public partnership has impacted 300,000 Egyptian students in over 451 public schools and 11 universities in 26 governorates since its establishment in 2003. About JA Worldwide™ JA Worldwide is the world's largest organization committed to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. With offices in 123 countries – and an extensive network of partners from the private and public sectors – JA Worldwide mobilizes a global force of business volunteers to teach in-school and after-school programs that give students the tools they need today, to succeed tomorrow. These programs show young people how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs, which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action, and help strengthen their communities. For more information, please visit www.ja.org.
