Hackney launches the ages and stages questionnaire Homerton launched the Ages and Stages questionnaire-3 (ASQ) as part of the Healthy Child Programme two year review at a conference held recently in the Homerton Education Centre. Over a 150 health visitors, early year’s staff and representatives from the childminding service attended the event and deemed it a great success. Homerton Health Visiting Services along with Hackney Learning Trust are national leaders in developing and implementing the integrated 2 year review. Homerton health visitors have worked closely in partnership with Hackney Learning Trust and the City of London for the past four years prior to the Department of Health announcement that all health providers will have to provide integrated reviews from September 2015. The ASQ-3 is a parent completed parent tool developed in America to assess the development of children between 2 months and 5 years. In this country it will be used to gain information for population monitoring. The ASQ-3 will be piloted with area F providers and rolled out across the borough for all the two year reviews in June of this year.
