Arcadia focused on Language Arts, Mathematics and Technology, using Land Trust funds to place
paraeducators in classrooms and labs and to also increase learning with technology infusion to support
instruction.
Last year Arcadia used $30,875 in employing paraprofessionals to assist with small-group and one-onone coaching and learning. Paraeducators administered DIBELS Benchmarks and some Progress
Monitoring for most grades. With additional help in classrooms, educators provided multiple practice
and review time for students struggling with concepts or work completion tasks. Support staff assisted
in classrooms, labs, and provided supervision for students needing additional learning time on school
expectations and learning goals.
The data from district assessments validate the work of all educational staff and students; the focus is
on preparing students for effective learning and application. We continue to invest in meaningful
technology to engage all our students and to enhance learning and creativity.
As Arcadia staff and students team to meet state and district expectations for growth and mastery, we
look to community members to provide additional volunteer time and service in classrooms and
outside. Students perform better with extended learning time, practice, and completion of class
assignments and tasks. We appeal to willing members of the school community to join us in reaching
school goals this year.
