Weather Summary for the period since the issue of last bulletin 40 (26.05.2015) for

Tamil Nadu.

Maximum temperature ranged from 33 o C to 42 o C and Minimum temperature range from 21 o C to 30 o C did prevail over the State. Kodaikanal and Uthagamandalam recorded maximum temperature range from 21 o C to 25 o C and minimum temperature range from 11 o C to 15 o C during the period. Moderate rainfall was recorded in Tamil Nadu .

Continuous rainfall along with high relative humidity and low minimum temperature are anticipated, hence chances for both downy mildew and powdery mildew diseases in grapes are more. Prophylactic spray of

1% Bordeaux mixture for downy mildew and 0.3 % wettable sulphur for powdery mildew has to be taken.
