Exam information
1. Exam periods and exam chances
Per academic year there are 3 exam periods: January – June - August/September
Per academic year you have 2 exam chances per course
In January and June you have a first chance to pass a course, August/September is your second chance. For
June and August/September, you need to register digitally via Toledo. You will receive notification of this
registration period through the ad valves both electronically and at the entrance of the Hermes building.
You can then choose for which exams you wish to register. If you choose not to take a certain exam in January
or June, you lose one exam chance and you automatically postpone the second chance exam until
August/September.
After registering for your exams, you will be able to print your exam card. The lecturer will sign this card to
confirm your attendance at the exam. It is very important that you have it signed at each exam!
2. Problems during the exams
You can contact the ombuds service when you cannot participate in an exam you registered for. Be aware that
you need to contact them BEFORE the exam takes place. You can also contact them in case of other
difficulties. You can only contact them via telephone (only direct conversation – no voicemail messages nor
SMS!) or if you go to their offices in T’Serclaes on the first floor. Emails do not count as notification of absence
for an exam.

to contact student administration department within 24 hours after your results have been posted.
6. Feedback exams
Lecturers’ feedback:
After your results are posted, you are able to have a look at your exam and talk to your lecturer about it. You
can compare expected answers with your answers, you can discuss your study method etc. However, your
grade is not up for discussion. You can only see how you obtained a certain grade and discuss what can be
done differently should you need to retake the exam. You need to register digitally for these feedback sessions
on student.hubkaho.be the same day the exam results are posted.

method. Please contact Krista Van Winkel (02/210.88.23) should you wish to do so.
