Each group member must complete their own activity. No student in the same group may do the same assignment twice. 1. Radio News Perform a 30-second radio news report on one of the major events from your revolution. Your report should be objective and to the point, while containing as must pertinent information as possible. Please Note: the radio news report must be performed, not just written out. 2. Photo Collage On a piece of construction paper (9x12), create a collage of words, images, and photos of your revolution. These may be of actual events from the revolution or simply relate to an event. The construction paper should be completely covered with material. 3. Informational Poster Create an informational poster on your revolution. The poster must be made on poster board or large chart paper. All important information about your revolution should be included in a clean, yet creative, way. 4. Illustrated Timeline Create an illustrated timeline of the major events from your revolution. Your timeline should include 8 key events and details and an illustration about each event. Make sure your timeline is neat and informational. 5. Journal/Letters Home Research an important figure from your revolution. Imagine you are that figure and write four journal entries or letters home. These entries/letters must be in first person, include day to day details from that person’s life, major events, etc. Each entry/letter should be at least ¾ of a page and written neatly. 6. Memorial Design You are the architect contracted to design and build a memorial for the people who died during your revolution. The government has given you a plot of land outside the new federal buildings. On white computer paper, create a design of your memorial. Make sure to include the reasons why you chose the design that you did and how you feel it best represents the people who died. 7. Revolutionary Playlist Create a 10 song playlist of music created about, or for, your revolution. The playlist must be submitted on a cd with a case. Create a jacket for your cd as well that provides the name of each song, artist, release date, and how it relates to your revolution. 8. Wax Museum Choose an important figure from your revolution. Using information previously gathered, create a 1-2 minute speech to present to the class as if you were that person. You may use notecards to help you, but your speech should be memorized. You must also use at least 1 prop in your speech. 9. Facebook Page Create a Facebook page on one of the important people from your revolution. You must include 5 pictures, basic information, 3+ friends, 5+ comments and 3+ posts, and 3+ “check-ins”.
