Committee Positions and Members:

II.
Purpose:
The purpose of the communications committee is to continually strive to improve
the overall tools, messaging and events the organization utilizes both internally and
externally, to raise public awareness, increase membership, foster collaboration and
offer educational opportunities.
III.
Goals:
 Work to increase and maintain membership
 Finish new website
 Research community resource fairs to be a part of in the Omaha/Council Bluffs
metro area
 Foster collaboration and problem solving using HSAC list serve and list serve
coordinator
 Provide a fall training opportunity to the organization on a topic affecting the
community at large
 Assist Vice-President of HSAC with the Recognition Luncheon Committee work
beginning in June
 Assist in hosting the annual recognition luncheon to acknowledge the role and
dedication of volunteers in our community and to raise public awareness
about HSAC
