TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
Dear Chrysalis Parents,
Let’s say THANK YOU to our teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation week, May 2ND - May 6th. The Parent
Club has planned some fun events honoring our teachers and staff. The schedule is as follows:
Monday May 2nd–
Candle (provided by Parent Club) for “Making the Light Shine Brighter in each
Child”
Tuesday May 3rd
Give your teacher a flower. Students are encouraged to bring their teacher
and/or favorite staff members a flower from home: draw a flower, pick a
wildflower, or pick a flower from your parents’ garden (with permission).
Wednesday May 4th – Staff Luncheon Mexican Style (See note below.)
Thursday May 5th –
Notes/Cards. Students please bring a note or card to let your teacher and/or
favorite staff members know how much they mean to you. Parent Club has a
magnet for each teacher. There will also be a basket of note cards in Katherine’s area of
the office if you need one.
Friday May 6th –
Acrostic Poems (Parent Club will work with each class to do one for each teacher)Parents please feel free to create a poem with your child (ren) for their teachers!
Staff Luncheon – What would you like to bring for the Teacher/Staff Mexican luncheon?? Do you have a special
dish you would like to share or a signature dessert?? Some examples are enchiladas, tamale’s, beans, tortillas,
shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream, guacamole or brownies, cupcakes, cookies etc. We also need
plastic utensils, plates, cups and napkins. Please fill out the form below and let us know! Any help big or small is
GREATLY appreciated!!
We would also like to provide each teacher and staff person a special “gift” at the luncheon, by having a drawing. If
you are able to donate an item (such as a special hand lotion, plant, Dutch Bros Card, candy etc) please send it to
the office with your student before May 3, 2011.
Please bring your dish/item to the front office BEFORE 11:30am on Wednesday, May 5th. We will also have
someone to pick up your dish at the vehicle drop off point (7:45 – 8:15) in the morning for your convenience.
