Clarendon Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program ENDOWMENT GRANT Request for Proposals - 2014-15 School Year 500 Clarendon Avenue | San Francisco, CA www.clarendonJBBP.org Eligibility The Clarendon Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program Endowment has been established to support the mission of JBBP at Clarendon. An annual grant from this endowment is available to those who wish to organize efforts that either maintain or further the following: Language & cultural focus. The Endowment Grant should fund an event, experience or enrichment opportunity that further supports the JBBP students’ exposure to and experience with Japanese language and/or culture. Program-specific spending. The Endowment Grant should be used for program-specific (rather than site-specific) benefit. Enrichment benefits. The Endowment Grant should be an add-on to the existing enrichment opportunities already provided to JBBP students & families. Grant opportunities are available to current members of Clarendon JBBP. Applicants may be JBBP parents or teachers. No prior experience related to the proposed project and/or enrichment is necessary, but experience will be one of the criteria the reviewing committee uses when evaluating grant applications. All grant applicants should include at least one current member of the JBBP teachings staff who will serve as either an advisor or active member of the project and/or enrichment’s organization. Grant applications must describe the committee who will coordinate the logistics and implementation of the project and/or enrichment, including whenever possible past history of success in this area or expertise in a related field. The JBBP Endowment Grant should support an event, experience or enrichment opportunity that can be organized and executed within a school year, with all requests for funds to expire by December of the following year (December 31, 2015.) This amount will not change until the next school year. One grant per school year available. If entire amount is not used for the purpose of the project and/or enrichment proposed by December 31, 2015, funds will be returned to the JBBP PAC Investment Accounts/Endowment.
