WANTED: Part-Time Technical Consultant/Advisor to an Environmental Group: Hydro-Geologist with hazardous chemical waste experience or Chemist with Hydro-Geological contamination experience or Environmental Scientist with Hydro-Geological & chemical waste evaluation experience. Applicants must be willing to begin in January 2014 and be available through December 31, 2016. They must also indicate their availability for a 10-year period. This Technical Advisor requires expertise in one or more areas, including (but not limited to): ● chemistry ● biology ● toxicology ● risk assessment ● hydrology ● soil science ● limnology ● geology All Technical Advisor candidates must demonstrate an understanding of or proficiency in the following: A demonstrated knowledge of hazardous or toxic waste issues, public health issues, protection of commercial fish resources and proficiency in writing technical reports. Academic training in a field relevant to conditions at the former Naval Air Station and commercial fisheries protection. All Technical Advisor candidates must identify if they meet the criteria of a small, minority, or woman owned businesses and the contract criteria posted on the BACSE WEB site. Brunswick Area Citizens for a Safe Environment (BACSE) will issue a "Time and Materials" contract for this position. We agree to pay for supplies or services based on direct labor hours at specified fixed hourly rates that include salary, overhead, profit, and materials at cost, but not general and administrative expenses.
