FAC (Fraternal Activities Committee) Meeting is TONIGHT at 6:30PM in the Michigan Room
Abbey just reimbursed all the chapters that received social grants last semester
■ All the money is located in their chapter account
○ Risk Management Roundtable is NEXT Tuesday (February 25th) in the Michigan room at 7:30PM
■ We will be providing pizza and soda!
○ Will be sending out information about this semesters social grants to those chapters that are in
compliance

“Someday Melissa" Film Screening & Discussion
Monday, February 24, C20 Pomerantz Center, 6:30pm
24 million American are affected by eating disorders, and college students are particularly at risk for unhealthy eating
and weight managmeent behaviors. This program is a part of Eating Disorder Awareness week on campus and features
the documentary "Someday Melissa" that chronicles the life and death of 19-year old Melissa from Bulimia. The
documentary will be followed by a panel discussion of student volunteers and mental health and medical professionals
working with body image and eating disorder concerns.

The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center and Midwestone Bank present the Ben S. Summerwill Lecture. This
educational features a local entrepreneur who franchises most McDonald's locations. He will focus on creating
innovative and entrepreneurial ideas without having to start a business, as well as tips and tricks for new college
graduates looking for jobs.
Cultural Humility

Concurrent with the wrapping-up of Black History Month; cultural understanding is increasingly more relevant within
our growing multicultural society. Join us as we explore the differences of cultural humility and cultural competence.
And come learn about some of the diverse perspectives of different identity groups that may can help our abilities to be
a better leader and ally on campus and in our communities.

The Delta Beta chapter of The Order of Omega was chartered at Iowa in 1982. The purpose of The Order of
Omega is to recognize fraternity and sorority members for their leadership, community activities and high
academic standards. Members must be have at least 60 credit hours and must have at least a 3.2 GPA.

Order of Omega is currently accepting applications for their spring 2014 new member class. To be eligible for
membership, students must have completed 60 credit hours of course work (junior standing) and maintain a
cumulative 3.2 GPA. Chapter Presidents received an email with the application, I have attached it again for your
reference, and it can be found on www.uiowafsl.com. Applications are due to 145 IMU by 5pm on Friday, February
21st.Contact Sam Krehbiel (samuel-krehbiel@uiowa.edu) or Rachel Barr (rachel-barr@uiowa.edu) for more details.
The Fraternal Values Society is accepting new members as well. Fraternity and sorority members from any class
standing and affiliation are welcome and encouraged to attend an open FVS meeting Wednesday, February 19th
at 8pm in the Miller Room, IMU. Potential members must exhibit the values of Fraternity & Sorority life daily by
living their rituals through values. The application can be found online here
