Interactive Digital Publishing for iPad and Tablets Piedmont is a prototype for an interactive magazine designed for the iPad that focuses on the people, places and passions of North Carolina's Piedmont region. I designed, and collected all the content for the magazine, which included interviewing subjects, taking photos and video and utilizing Adobe InDesign to design interactive slide shows and other elements. Interactive Project for the Public Good (Lead Photographer) While a grad student at Elon, I was part of a team effort to create an interactive website for our client--the Térraba, an indigenous tribe in Costa Rica in danger of losing the land they have been stewarding for the past 500 years. The site was featured in several national and international publications, including National Public Radio. I served as the Photography Lead on this project and assisted with writing the web content. 2009-2012: Office Manager, The Scrap Exchange The Scrap Exchange is a nonprofit creative reuse center in Durham, North Carolina whose mission is to promote creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse. Since 1991, they have been collecting materials from local businesses and residents and distributing these reclaimed materials through their retail store, community events, parties and workshops.
