See Mr. Barrett for further details. 9/10-17 Kalamazoo Central Music Department will present the musical "IN THE HEIGHTS" the 2nd and 3rd weekends in November. Auditions for "IN THE HEIGHTS" are today, Thursday, & Friday, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM, in the Auditorium. On September 16th, 1810, Father Hidalgo rallied the people with a speech known as ‘El Grito de Delores’, and told the people “Viva Mexico’, and ‘Viva la independencia’. The fight for independence began, and the Mexicans went to war against the Spanish. The Mexican people continued their fight for eleven years and finally gained their independence. ATHLETICS 9/16-18 Anyone thinking about wrestling this winter, the wrestling team will start after school lifting and open mat workouts starting next Tuesday Sept 22 at 3:00-4:30. This is open to anyone thinking about wrestling this year and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30, starting out in the weight room. 9/16 All boys who are interested in playing basketball and who are not playing a fall sport, conditioning will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00- 4:15 and open gym will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-8pm. Please meet today in front of the gymnasium. Be sure you get a pass from the counseling office before school, after school or at lunch the day before the visit. Tuesday, September 22nd - Ferris State, 1 PM Wednesday, September 23rd - WMU, 9 AM and Hillsdale College, 1 PM Friday, September 25th – Valparaiso, 1 PM Wednesday, September 30th - Hope College, 1 PM 9/17-22 Mark your calendars! The Homecoming dance will be NEXT Friday (September 25th) at 9pm. Guest passes will be available in Mr. Gardner’s office and Mr. Patterson’s office beginning today. Guest passes are due no later than the Wednesday before the dance (September 23 rd). 9/21 Just a reminder that Homecoming Court nomination forms are due TODAY to your class adviser! Don’t forget! Voting will take place on Wednesday during 2nd period classes. 9/21 – 9/24 Are you interested in being a part of Friday’s pep assembly?
