Hall Council General Meeting Meeting Minutes October 7, 2015 Eboard & RA1 Committee Present: Brooke Blackwell, Elizabeth Bonnette, Scott Cooper, Jamie Dearman, Madison Guitreau, Christine Jones, Mallory McKenzie, Christine Peairs, Taylor Williams Members Present: 5 members Next Event: Homecoming Week (October 12-17) & Pink Out Night in Mane Dish (October 14) Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 7:00pm Next Meeting: Meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. Discussion Homecoming Hall Council's theme is Mama Mia. October 12 @ 11:30-1:30 pm is Homecoming Kickoff at the Student Union Quad. There will be snowballs, music, and t-shirts. October 13 @ 7:30 pm is Minute to Win It at Strawberry Stadium. October 14 @ 11-2 pm is Gumbo YaYa outside of the new Student Union. October 14 @ 6:30 pm is the 5K Glow Run at North Oaks Park. If you would like to participate in the Glow Run with Hall Council, you will need to pay $5, fill out a waiver, and wear a white T-shirt to the event. A white T-shirt is mandatory since neon paint will be thrown at check points and there will be black lights. October 17 @ 3 pm is the Homecoming parade. The Homecoming game starts at 7 pm. Pink Out Night Pink Out night will be on Wednesday, October 14, in Mane Dish cafeteria before Lip Sync. There will be a "Kiss Away Cancer" in which participants will pay to put on lipstick and kiss a sheet/sign to kiss away cancer. Mary Kay will be sponsoring and donating red and pink lipstick samples. Wear pink to this event! October Fest Housing and Dining Service Event Friday, October 23 There will be food, games, and fun. Hall Council will be bringing its Life Size game night games. We need help decorating and/or working this event. We may repurpose our Mocktails board with jack-o-lanterns and use the holes as the mouths. May have pumpkin bowling Relay for Life November 14 at North Oaks Park from 11-6 pm If you do not want to run, you can donate money. Hall Council will be selling items to raise money for Relay for Life. Possible items to sell include trail mix, cupcakes, and cake pops. Another idea was to have a "jail" in which people could pay to have their friends "arrested" and put in jail. The friend would wither have to pay to get out or wait so many minutes. SWACURH SWACURH is a conference at Texas A&M from October 22-25 This is our second year participating in SWACURH. At SWACURH, Hall Council admins will be attending sessions and bringing back ideas to our campus. We will be making a sheet sign and clothespins for SWACURH.
