Vacation Reminders There will be no classes from April 14th -April 19th. Classes resume April 21st. Recital Dates and Times The Rehearsal and Recital will be held at Southington High School. The rehearsal is Saturday, May 31st and the show is on Sunday, June 1st. Recital Tickets As per prior newsletters, each family participating in the recital must pay a recital fee of $95 which includes 4 tickets by May 1st. All debts including tuition must be paid in order to receive the tickets by then. Extra tickets will be sold at a discounted price on a first come first serve basis in May on a date to be determined. Dress Rehearsal On rehearsal day, please report in FULL MAKE-UP AND COSTUME to Southington High School. THE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS: Act I reports at 8:30 am, sharp Act II reports at Noon, sharp. We will rehearse the finale at approximately 12:30 PM. After that Act II will rehearse and Act I will be dismissed. Please review the tentative order of dances at the end of this newsletter. It is the student’ responsibility to be ready to perform at the appropriate time. Students must remain in the dressing room throughout the show Please bring sandwiches, snacks, drinks, as well as activities for your children, as we will be rehearsing through the day. However; there CANNOT BE ANY EATING in the auditorium. All food is to be eaten in the foyer outside of the Auditorium. PLEASE DISPOSE OF ALL GARBAGE PROPERLY. The Recital On Sunday, please arrive at Southington High School at 1 PM SHARP in FULL MAKE-UP AND COSTUME, and go directly to the dressing rooms. At the end of the show, it is customary for the children to take a bow with a bouquet of flowers. Please bring your child’s flowers, with their name attached when you arrive. The location of the table for the flowers will be announced on the day of the rehearsal. Trophies will be awarded once again. Photography and Videotaping For the consideration of the children and the audience, NO VIDEOTAPING OR PHOTOGRAPHS will be permitted during the show on Sunday. The show will be professionally recorded on DVD/VHS by Classic Video Productions. Flyers will be handed out prior to the show; in addition, orders can be placed the day of the show. Dress Code HAIR: All hair must be worn in a bun. If a child has short hair, just secure it off the face with an elastic. ALL BANGS MUST BE OFF THE FOREHEAD WITH GEL. MAKE-UP: BROWN EYE SHADOW under the eye brow, and lavender / blue eye shadow on the lower eye lid, mascara on the eye lashes, red lipstick and plenty of red blush must be worn. Eye liner should be worn above and below the eye. COSTUMES: No underwear can be worn with the costumes. Costumes should be sewn as indicated in class. Please bring undergarments for children to wear for the finale. This will eliminate the tights for that number, and will keep the children cooler.
