MINUTES OF THE MAY 18, 2015 MEETING
Rosemary Hogan-Cunningham called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
MEMBER’S PRESENT: Rosemary Hogan-Cunningham, Chairman, Sue Cannon, Roger Nelson,
Barbara Sullivan, Douglas Hamilton, Cindy Cooper and Frances Urbank.
ALSO PRESENT: Ann Marie Claffey, Director
ABSENT: William Hamel, and Edward Lanati.
PUBLIC: None.
Chairman Rosemary Hogan opened the meeting with a Welcome to Cindy Cooper who is our
newest CONA member.
SECRETARY’S REPORT: Minutes of March 16 were accepted on a motion by Barbara Sullivan
and seconded by Frances Urbank with Roger Nelson abstaining. Minutes for April 20 were
accepted on a motion by Roger Nelson and seconded by Frances Urbank with Barbara Sullivan
abstaining.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Ann Marie Claffey presented the Treasurer's Report. Discussion
followed on account financial information. Upon a motion by Frances Urbank to accept the
Treasurer’s Report. seconded by Barbara Sullivan, the motion passed.
PUBLIC INPUT: N/A.
BUS COORDINATOR’S REPORT: Ann Marie Claffey presented the April 2015 report.
Discussion on shuttle service and repairs. Roger Nelson made a motion to accept the Bus
Coordinator Report as presented and seconded by Barbara Sullivan, the report was approved.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Ann Marie Claffey presented the Directors Report.
 Programs and Upcoming events: For May: Mother’s Day Breakfast (5/13), Heritage
Week, May 25th will include Middle School Program at the Center (5/26), Tour of
Memorial Hall (5/20), Painting Dedication (5/21), Memorial Day Parade (5-25). For June:
Spa Day (6-16), Father’s Day Brunch (6-19), 50’s Dance (6-24, 5 PM). Also the Summer
Concert Series will be starting on Tuesday, June 30. Schedule still being developed. .
Locks Fitness Center had approximately 266 visits in April.
 Charter Trips include: "Joseph" Kutztown Folk Festival & Sands Casino Bethlehem, PA
(June 25-27), Winnipesaukee Railroad Turkey Train (9/29), Oktoberfest @ The Platzl
Brauhaus Pomona, NY (10/13), I Love Lucy Show Comedy Show & Twin Lobsters at
the Hukelau (7/15), Connecticut Rail & Sail (6/23), Polka Party At The Baltic Restaurant
(9/17), Seafood & Sunflowers (7/29), Mackinac Island 8 days/7 nights,

Charter Trips (Continued):
Halloween in Salem (10/17), USO Show Troupe (11-10), Glenn Miller Orchestra “In the
Christmas Mood”. Casino trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan. Center Bus Trip Tour of
Memorial Hall followed by lunch at the Center. (5/27).
COMMITTEE REPORT AND ACTIONS:
a) Transportation Committee: Roger Nelson reported on a meeting with our Town
Attorney who is reviewing our Transportation Policies (along with our general
Policies and Procedures) to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with Town
policies. The revised information should be ready by our June CONA meeting.
MUNICIPAL AGENT REPORT: John Sullivan reported that the June SCAN will have
information on Reverse Mortgages including important things to consider before applying. He
also reported on Commission on Aging members in Enfield and their very successful Enfield
Senior Minor Repair Program. Discussion ensued on the need for such a program in Windsor
Locks and the wonderful assistance given by local churches and the Lion’s Club.

Upon a motion by Fran Urbank and seconded by Roger Nelson the meeting adjourned at 7:45
P.M.
