Zeeb Road, Scio Township provides the residents of Washtenaw County with a disposal option for flammable, poisonous, toxic and corrosive materials.This program is open to all Washtenaw County residents and operates the first 3 Saturdays of every month from April through November from 9:00 am to Noon.This program is gaining popularity and they are getting about 300 cars per week, so be prepared for a wait. Other drop off times can be arranged by calling their office. FURNITURE, TIRES, APPLICANCES AND OTHER HARD TO DISPOSE OF ITEMS Recycle Ann Arbor also accepts hard to recycle non-toxic items at their Drop-Off Station, 2950 E. Ellsworth Road, Ann Arbor, 48108, Telephone (734)-971-7400. There is a charge of $3.00 per vehicle for non-residents. They accept items such as computers, televisions, freon appliances, tires, furniture, wood and yard waste. They DO NOT accept paints, liquids, or home toxics. ELECTRONICS RECYCLING: Sit Ab Of De Ta Zo The Ypsilanti Recycling Drop-off Center on 651 Rice St. (about a block away from the Sidetrack Bar and Grill) will take electronics including computers, printers, televisions, video games, batteries (except for e-cigarette batteries), VCR’s, typewriters, microwave ovens, hair dryers, and much more. No Freon appliances or washing machines/dryers. They are open to drop off electronics from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. They will take electronics from Superior Township residents. They may charge a small fee.
