DELAWARE RECYCLING DROP-OFF LOCATIONS TO FACE CHANGES
DELAWARE, Oh. – The Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow (DKMM) Solid Waste District will be
discontinuing two of its Delaware County drop-off recycling locations in the coming month.
The Village of Sunbury drop-off, located on Cherry Street, will be removed May 29 at the request of
the property owner. The drop-off location at Olentangy Liberty High School on Home Road in
Liberty Township will be discontinued on June 29 at the request of the school.
DKMM Solid Waste District would like residents to know that new recycling locations are actively
being sought in these areas and that it is a high priority to the District. The Village of Sunbury and
Liberty Township residents now have curbside recycling available and residents are encouraged to
use these programs.
In addition to securing additional locations, DKMM is working to increase capacity at surrounding
drop-off locations when possible. Residents are asked to not leave recyclables outside of the bins if
the containers are full at any of the DKMM drop-off locations. This is considered littering and leads
to costly cleanup.
DKMM understands the inconvenience this may cause and is working on finding a suitable and
convenient solution as quickly as possible. If you have questions or would like more information
please contact the DKMM Solid Waste District at (740) 393-4600 or the Delaware General Health
District at (740)368-1700.
