Electronics Recycling Drop-Off
Effective January 2011, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is
banning the disposal of all “covered electronic devices”. Covered electronic devices
include televisions, computers, monitors, and portable/laptop computers. Please do not
place any of these items in your blue cart for disposal. These items MUST be recycled!
It is anticipated that the Mercer County Improvement Authority will host five disposal
days in 2011. You can visit www.state.nj.us/dep and click on “recycling & planning” for
additional resources.
Lawrence Township has initiated a drop-off for these items at the Public Works Facility
starting on January 5, 2011. Every Wednesday residents will be allowed to recycle
“covered electronic devices” at the Public Works facility between the hours of 7:00 a.m.3:00 p.m. at 240 Bakers Basin Road. Please visit the front office at the Public Works site
for assistance.
