To be eligible for the lab, you must be comfortable with being around and handling
birds, have no known allergies to feathers or dust, have no known problems seeing
colors, and have completed both the 194S and Bio 94 courses. You will also need a
reliable form of transportation to our aviary, which is on North Campus (~2 miles from
main campus; corner of Jamboree and Campus Dr).

What is the main reason you are interested in participating in this research?
Research in this lab is conducted in 3-hour blocks of time with a set weekly schedule for
the entire quarter, including finals week. Students enroll for 3 units and work in the lab
3 times a week, for a total of 9 hours per week and 99 hours per quarter. There are no
homework assignments. All lab work must be done between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
The lab is open seven days per week, throughout the year, including holidays.
