12th Annual Lawyers Strike Against Child Abuse Bowling Tournament
Raises More Than $22,000 for the Family Resource Center
More than $22,000 was netted by the loyal supporters of the 12th Annual Lawyers Strike
Against Child Abuse Bowling Tournament held at the Bird Bowl on June 28, 2008 to
support the Family Resource Center of South Florida, located in Miami-Dade County.
The event was well attended by more than 300 participants. Bowlers came to raise funds
to help prevent and treat child abuse and neglect through the strengthening of families.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management took home the first place trophy, and Adorno & Yoss,
L.L.P.’s took home 2nd and 3rd place awards.
Sponsors included: BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Gables Capital Management,
Dade County Bar Association (Young Lawyers Section), Kresse & Associates, Inc., the
William Fox Jr. Foundation and Ed King’s Kaleidoscope Conspiracy.
All proceeds for this event are dedicated towards providing gap funding to support the
operational costs of the Family Resource Center. These funds maintain the
organization’s programs, which serve more than 4,000 adults and children each year.
