After Surgery Care
If any post op patient calls with any post op complications, we need to see them
the next clinic day. Some examples of complications are, increased pain since
being discharged from hospital, loss of bowel or bladder, infection of surgical
site, temperature over 100 degrees within 5-7 days following surgery. If unsure
it is always ok to have patient come in just to be safe. If patients are having
issues with their medications please bolt message the surgeon and document
that you are waiting for a response. Signs of allergic reaction, tell patient to
stop the medication immediately and you will get an order for a new
medication.
